Along with the OCS, we had been keeping an eye out on NS B16, which had the Southern Heritage Unit on the front. As we figured was going to happen, B16 showed up the same time as the OCS. Obviously, the OCS is what we came for, so we decided to drop our planned shot of B16 splitting the trilights. We made our way back to CP 435 after the OCS hoping it hadnt gone through yet. It had, so we decided to work east to Elkhart hoping we would see them yarding. They had been long yarded by the time we made it there. But, we decided to take a sashe through the yard to see what we could find. A pair of CP and KCS GEVOs were sitting right at CP 426, which we assumed was either inbound NS 30Q power or outbound NS 17V power. |
