I had been crossing my fingers before making this trip that somehow we would manage to stumble across the CIND first shift job coming back from Greensburg. This train had pretty regularly been running out to Greensburg on Mondays, but very early in the morning. I happened to look on Facebook when we were done with the IERR, and sure enough, they were on their way back reported in New Point just after noon. Knowing we had enough time to get over there, we took a quick bathroom break and headed for the concrete bridge over Bonnell Road and the Whitewater River west of Guilford, IN. The train took much longer to arrive to our local than either one of us had expected, which we later figured out was due to crossing malfunctions in Batesville. But, the wait was worth it! |
