Here's a closer view of the former Chicago Metra burro crane RC50247. After leaving Metra, it bounced first onto the Illinois Rwy Museum roster in Union, IL. From there, it moved over to the Minnesota Transportation Musuem - where we found it parked outside the roundhouse. Of note, is the frame with insulators for work under the catenary/trolley wires. |
