Description:
Intracoastal Terninal Co. 45-ton GE No. 2 was working along the Intracoastal Waterway (Harvey Canal) in Harvey, Louisiana -- across the Mississippi River from New Orleans. The locomotive was General Ebectric serial No. 15294, built in December 1941 as Weldon Springs Ordnance Works No. 1 near St. Louis. It was subsequently renumbered U.S. Army 7325 and then U.S. Air Force 7325. Last used by the USAF at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, Louisiana; it became Avondale Shipyard No. 3 before moving to ITCO.
